Kyiv Under Siege: Escalating Missiles and Drones
Russia's missile and drone attacks on Kyiv resulted in at least six deaths and 82 injuries, targeting residential areas and essential facilities. President Zelenskiy condemned the aggression as Kyiv's mayor reported the highest number of child victims in a night since the invasion began.

In a devastating strike early Thursday, Russian missiles and drones rained down on Kyiv, killing at least six people, including a young boy and his mother, and injuring 82, according to Ukrainian officials. President Volodymyr Zelenskiy reported significant damage to residential buildings from over 300 drones and eight missiles launched by Russia.
Voicing their desire for peace, Ukraine warned that strength is necessary, as echoed by Mayor Vitali Klitschko, who highlighted the high number of child casualties seen overnight. Tragically, 62-year-old Yurii Kravchuk was wounded while trying to find shelter, recounting the chaos as his daughter was hospitalized.
The sustained assault left fires and destruction across 27 locations, including schools and hospitals. Despite Russia's denials, the increased air strikes have been seen in areas far from the battlefield. Meanwhile, the U.S., led by President Trump, threatens tariffs in response to Russia's inaction toward peace.
