A 57-year-old Sub-Inspector of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) was found dead from a gunshot wound at the Roshan Garh outpost near the Nepal border. The incident was reported by Shravasti police on Thursday. Authorities have identified the officer as Narendra Singh.
Superintendent of Police Ghanshyam Chaurasia stated that the deceased officer was discovered in his barracks, and a service weapon lay near his body. No suicide note has been recovered, leading to ongoing investigations into the circumstances surrounding his death.
