Kosovo Removes Customs Tariff on U.S. Products

Kosovo's acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, announced on Friday the elimination of Kosovo's 10% customs tariff on goods imported from the United States. This decision marks a significant step in enhancing bilateral trade relations.

Kurti stated, "From now on, all products originating from the United States will have a 0% tariff when they enter our country. Kosovo welcomes American products to its market and we strongly believe that this will affect the growth of trade exchange and increased investments." The announcement was made during a government session, emphasizing the economic benefits it aims to bring.

In 2024, data showed Kosovo exported goods worth 39 million euros to the U.S., while imports from the U.S. were valued at 106 million euros. This policy shift is seen as a move to balance trade and increase economic collaboration between the two nations.
