Champhai Police intercepted an Aizawl-bound taxi at the Khankawn check gate, uncovering 364 grams of heroin valued at Rs 10.92 lakh. The driver, C Zoramhluna, who resides in Aizawl, along with passengers Lalnunzira and Lalthanmawia, were implicated in the drug trade.
In a separate crackdown in Serchhip district's Chhiahtlang village, officials seized additional heroin from two women. All suspects are booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act 1985, highlighting ongoing efforts to dismantle drug networks.
