India has strongly reiterated its stance against Pakistan's illegal occupation of parts of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. The government consistently demands the vacating of these areas and firmly protests against any attempts by Pakistan to change the status quo. The Government of India has emphatically restated its call for Pakistan to vacate parts of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, currently under its illegal occupation. This statement was presented to the Indian Parliament, highlighting India's consistent policy against the forcible control of its territories.
This declaration was part of a broader response by the Ministry of External Affairs when questioned in the Lok Sabha about efforts to reclaim Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK). Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh reaffirmed India's firm stance, noting that the entire regions of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh have always been integral to India.
Singh also addressed issues related to cartographical representations and emphasized India's approach to combat terrorism and protect its citizens. Current relations with Pakistan are strained, especially following military clashes earlier this year, and India has reiterated its zero-tolerance policy regarding terrorism.
