Rajasthan's Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma emphasized the state government's commitment to developing tribal regions in a meeting in Banswara. Highlighting the role of farmers and tribal communities as foundational pillars, Sharma outlined plans to enhance living standards by 2047.
In alignment, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi initiative released its 20th instalment, transferring Rs 1,600 crore to over 76 lakh farmers across Rajasthan. The programme was attended by Chief Minister Sharma via video conferencing.
Sharma announced the state government's intention to increase the Kisan Samman Nidhi to Rs 12,000 and detailed various other schemes to foster regional growth, including grants and infrastructural improvements for farmers, while reiterating the commitment to tribal development through electricity initiatives and housing support.
