In a shocking case of online blackmail, the Delhi Police have arrested a 28-year-old man identified as Prabhat Chaudhary, also known as Piyush, for allegedly uploading compromising images and videos of a woman on social media platforms to blackmail her. The incident came to light following a complaint from the woman's brother.
Prabhat hails from Bulandshahr district in Uttar Pradesh and was reportedly embroiled in financial struggles, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Northwest) Bhisham Singh. Initially evading arrest by frequently changing his digital footprint and utilizing social media's ''view once'' feature, he was eventually tracked and caught.
During his confession, Prabhat admitted to using the explicit material to exert pressure on the woman for personal demands. In light of these revelations, police recovered a mobile device used in the crime and continue to verify his financial claims as part of an ongoing investigation.
