In a shocking discovery, the body of Kaushal Kishor Das, the priest of Ram Janki Math in Bihar's Muzaffarpur district, was found under mysterious circumstances on Sunday, according to local police.
Authorities suspect that Das was murdered, sparking an in-depth investigation into the case. Speaking to the press, Muzaffarpur (East) Additional Superintendent of Police Shahryar Akhtar revealed that the priest was discovered near a river close to his residence in the Bahadurpur area, within the jurisdiction of the Minapur-Panapur police station.
The family reported Das missing earlier that morning, which led to the discovery. The police have forwarded the body for a post-mortem examination and are working closely with forensic experts to gather crucial evidence in the suspected homicide case.
