Outrage as Army Officer Assaults Airline Staff at Srinagar Airport

Political leaders in Jammu and Kashmir have expressed outrage over an incident at Srinagar International Airport involving an Army officer assaulting private airline employees. The officer reportedly attacked the staff following a dispute over excess cabin luggage fees.

National Conference spokesperson Sarah Hayat Shah condemned the attack, describing it as 'gundagardi' and emphasized the need for accountability. Similarly, PDP leader Iltija Mufti called for immediate action, highlighting the serious injuries inflicted, including a spinal fracture.

SpiceJet confirmed the incident, stating one of their staff suffered a spinal fracture. Legal steps are underway, with an FIR filed and the passenger potentially being placed on a no-fly list, aligning with civil aviation regulations.
