The Delhi Assembly convened on Wednesday to honor the memory of victims affected by the recent flash floods in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand. Legislators observed a two-minute silence to pay their respects to those who lost their lives, including 11 Army personnel who are still missing.
Amidst the ongoing search operations, a body was recovered and 150 individuals were rescued from the flood-stricken village of Dharali. As efforts continue, rescuers face significant challenges due to the landscape's harsh conditions.
Additionally, the assembly paid homage to the late senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj on her death anniversary and remembered former Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satyapal Malik, who passed away on Tuesday. AAP MLA Virender Singh Kadian led the tributes.
