Delhi Police Cracks Down on Illegal Foreign Nationals
Delhi Police detained 22 foreign nationals, including Bangladeshis, Nigerians, Ivorians, Liberians, and a Senegalese, for deportation in Dwarka. They were living without valid visas. Delhi Police have deported 22 foreign nationals living illegally within the capital, an official announced on Wednesday. Among those apprehended were eight Bangladeshis, eight Nigerians, three individuals from the Ivory Coast, two from Liberia, and one from Senegal.
The group was found residing in Delhi's Dwarka area, having exceeded the validity of their visas. They faced apprehension from multiple locations in Dwarka and were brought before the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO). The FRRO subsequently ordered their deportation.
These individuals were then sent to a Detention Centre, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka) Ankit Singh, who stressed the ongoing efforts to ensure compliance with visa regulations within the city.
