Congress legislators staged a protest in the Madhya Pradesh assembly premises on Wednesday, calling for a judicial inquiry into an alleged scam in the police constable recruitment exam.
Led by opposition leader Umang Singhar, they chanted slogans in front of Mahatma Gandhi's statue, with some donning khaki uniforms to emphasize the alleged exam irregularities.
Singhar alleged that dummy candidates took the place of genuine applicants in solving question papers, and he demanded an impartial judicial inquiry and strict penalties for those responsible, while accusing the state BJP government of corrupt practices and undermining a fair selection process.
