Actor Vijay Deverakonda appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday as part of a probe into a money laundering case involving illegal online betting and gambling platforms.
The investigation focuses on a contentious link to various gaming and betting applications which Deverakonda has allegedly endorsed. Post-meeting, Deverakonda addressed the media, clarifying that his endorsements are strictly for legal gaming apps, which are registered and recognized by the government and Supreme Court. He emphasized the distinction between legal gaming apps and illegal betting apps.
The ED sought explanations regarding his associations with these applications, alongside financial and contractual details, to which Deverakonda responded transparently.
