Major Political Leader Arrested in Counterfeit Currency and Fraud Case
A local Samajwadi Party leader, Raja Maan Singh, his wife, and brother, along with others, have been arrested for dealing in counterfeit currency and real estate fraud. Authorities have apprehended a prominent local Samajwadi Party figure and several associates on allegations of counterfeit currency distribution and real estate deception. The arrests underscore an escalating probe into financial malfeasance.
Raja Maan Singh, a Zila Panchayat member from Ayodhya, and an official of the Samajwadi Yuvjan Sabha youth wing, has been identified as the primary suspect in this case. SP district president Parasnath Yadav has verified Singh's involvement as a national secretary in the youth organization.
Senior Superintendent of Police Gaurav Grover revealed that the group manipulated investors through deceitful property schemes and resorted to threats upon demands for reimbursement. During Singh's arrest, the police seized Rs 8 lakh in unreported cash, marking a crucial turn in the ongoing investigation.
