Tokyo Electron Investigated: Employee Implicated in Taiwan IP Case

Tokyo Electron Ltd confirmed on Thursday that a former member of its Taiwan subsidiary staff is implicated in a case highlighted by the Intellectual Property Branch of the Taiwan High Prosecutors Office earlier this week.

The Japanese semiconductor equipment manufacturer stated that the implicated employee has been dismissed and that the company is actively cooperating with authorities as part of the ongoing investigation.

So far, Tokyo Electron's internal review has not unearthed any instances of sensitive information being leaked to external parties. The company refrained from offering further comments, stating that the matter is currently undergoing judicial scrutiny.
