The Indian government has flagged concerns over the rising number of attacks on Hindus and the vandalization of temples abroad, particularly in the UK, Canada, and the United States. This was disclosed in Parliament on Friday.
Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh addressed the Lok Sabha with details, noting that since last year, the US and Canada have recorded five and four such incidents, respectively. The Minister stated that while the UK has witnessed these cases, Scotland remains unaffected.
The government assures that it promptly engages with authorities in affected countries to safeguard the Hindu community and secure justice for the victims. As of now, there is no motion against Hinduphobia in the Scottish Parliament, Singh confirmed.
