A family of Non-Resident Indians visiting from the United Kingdom faced a harrowing experience in Bhind, Madhya Pradesh, when their car was targeted in a stone-pelting incident. This altercation, arising from a dispute with local police, left two children with minor injuries and caused significant vehicle damage, as confirmed by officials on Saturday.
Following Thursday's incident near Fatehpur village in Gohad tehsil, the local Sikh community, to which the family belongs, initiated protests seeking accountability. Demonstrations were held near the Gohad Chauraha police station, demanding the filing of an FIR against constable Kuldeep Kushwaha and the transfer of the station house officer.
Local authorities, including Superintendent of Police Asit Yadav, have promised a rigorous investigation. The situation escalated after community leaders, backed by local political figures like Congress MLA Keshav Desai, sought justice for the family.
