Police confirmed that Sameer, a 25-year-old man, was killed allegedly due to his marriage to Sunaina Kumari, defying her family's wishes. The incident occurred after Sameer eloped with Sunaina in December 2023.
The investigation revealed that Sameer's body was discovered in the Aravalli hills, having been assaulted and murdered. The accused include members of Sunaina's own family, identified as Mahesh Kumar, Ramsadan alias Vicky, Leela Devi, and Alim Khan. Another suspect, Sunaina's brother, Sonu, is reportedly absconding.
Authorities described the crime as a 'blind murder case,' due to scarce evidence and lack of witnesses. The body was found when a security guard informed police of the grisly discovery of a slain body with its throat slit. Investigations are ongoing to apprehend the remaining suspect, Sonu.
