In the wake of a deadly cloudburst and landslides in Kathua district, Jammu and Kashmir, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has taken decisive action, directing immediate relief, rescue, and evacuation efforts to safeguard the affected populace. The natural disaster, which struck Jodh Ghati village of Rajbagh, resulted in four casualties and left six injured, while also inflicting damage on local properties and access routes.
Expressing deep sorrow over the tragic events, Abdullah extended his heartfelt sympathies to the families of the deceased and wished a speedy recovery for those injured. He emphasized the government's commitment to providing all necessary assistance to ensure the wellbeing of residents in hard-hit areas like Jodh Khad and Juthana.
The Chief Minister's office, through a statement on platform X, reiterated the administration's resolve to prioritize the safety and support of those impacted by this calamity, ensuring quick and efficient aid is delivered to the victims and their families during this difficult time.
