Israeli Strikes Target Yemeni Power Station Amid Rising Tensions
The Israeli military targeted an energy infrastructure site south of Sanaa, Yemen, reportedly hitting the Haziz power station. The strikes were a response to Houthi missile and drone attacks against Israel. Houthi media reported damage to the power station, and historical tensions with the U.S. and UK were highlighted.

The Israeli military has confirmed targeting an energy infrastructure site used by the Iran-aligned Houthis near the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, early Sunday. Israeli media reported that the Haziz power station was among the targets hit.
This military action comes in retaliation for repeated Houthi missile and drone attacks on Israel. Earlier reports suggested the Israeli navy conducted the strike on the power facility near Sanaa.
According to Houthi-run Al Masirah TV, the station suffered from what they termed an "aggression," resulting in some generators being knocked out of service. The incident goes amidst ongoing geopolitical tensions in the region, with prior involvement from the U.S. and UK in Yemen.
