Tragic Septic Tank Mishap Claims Two Lives in Odisha
Two labourers died from suspected asphyxiation while working in a septic tank in Nuapada, Odisha. The victims, Basudev Bhoi and Raghumani Hati, were locals. After losing consciousness inside the tank, they were declared dead at the hospital. A post-mortem is scheduled for Monday.

In a tragic incident in Odisha's Nuapada district, two labourers lost their lives due to suspected asphyxiation while working in a septic tank on Sunday, police reported.
The accident occurred at Laxmi Chhak in Khariar town. The victims, identified as locals Basudev Bhoi and Raghumani Hati, were working on removing a false ceiling inside the tank, according to a police officer.
When one of them lost consciousness after entering the tank through a hole, the second worker followed in and also fainted, Govind Sahu, the homeowner, explained. Ultimately, firefighters retrieved the men, who were pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. Inspector Dillip Kumar Sahu stated that autopsies will be carried out on Monday.
