Dabloo Singh, a notorious criminal wanted in over 37 cases, surrendered to the police in Jharkhand's Palamu district on Monday. Superintendent of Police Reeshma Ramesan confirmed the arrest, noting the gravity of Singh's alleged crimes, which span various districts.
Singh, a native of Phulang village in the Lesliganj area, reportedly decided to turn himself in to return to mainstream society. Having operated in the criminal underworld for over two decades, his decision marks a potential shift in his life trajectory.
According to SP Ramesan, Singh was previously accused in the murder of a rival gangster, Kunal Singh, in 2020, which led him to evade law enforcement. His surrender is seen as a significant development for crime control efforts in the region.
