Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta was allegedly attacked on Thursday morning during a 'Jan Sunwai' programme held at her official residence in Civil Lines, as reported by the BJP.
Authorities, including senior police officers, confirmed that a man has been detained in connection with the event, and a detailed inquiry is currently underway. Law enforcement officials are present at the scene.
Virendra Sachdeva, Delhi BJP president, has issued a strong condemnation regarding the attack on the Chief Minister during the weekly public hearing. Sources from the party informed that the attacker, a man around 35 years old, initially approached the CM with papers before allegedly assaulting her.
