In a shocking incident in Varanasi, a property dealer was killed on Thursday morning. The 43-year-old victim, Mahendra Gautam, was shot by three unidentified individuals on bikes in the Sarnath area, according to police officials.

The incident unfolded in the Arihant Nagar Colony, as the attackers fired upon Gautam, leading to his immediate hospitalization where he was pronounced dead. Deputy Commissioner of Police, Varuna Zone, Pramod Kumar stated that the investigation is ongoing.

Authorities have registered an FIR and are looking into all possible angles, though the family has not yet suggested any motive. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination.
