In a bid to reassert its defensive capabilities, Iran conducted its first solo military exercises since a June conflict with Israel, state media reported on Thursday. The military drills, known as 'Sustainable Power 1404,' saw Iran's navy fire missiles and deploy drones in the Indian Ocean.
This display of military strength occurred shortly after the joint Iran-Russia 'Casarex 2025' exercises held in the Caspian Sea. Iran's recent naval activities were aimed at demonstrating its readiness amidst ongoing geopolitical tensions.
Amid heightened tensions, the U.S. President has issued warnings of further strikes if Iran revives its nuclear efforts. Despite halting nuclear negotiations with Washington, Iran continues limited cooperation with the U.N. nuclear watchdog, maintaining it has no intention of developing nuclear weapons.
