The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has accelerated its recruitment cycle through substantial reforms. The Rajya Sabha was informed on Thursday about these measures, which aimed to cut down the recruitment timeline from 15-18 months to a streamlined 6-10 months.

Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State for Personnel, highlighted key reforms, such as transitioning from pen and paper to computer-based exams and reducing the exam notice duration from 45 to 21 days. The introduction of an e-dossier system has also played a crucial role by ensuring secure, tamper-proof management of candidate information.

The adoption of this digital dossier system is already in effect for major SSC exams, enhancing transparency and efficiency. Moreover, the SSC has broadened linguistic inclusiveness by offering exams in 13 regional languages along with Hindi and English, reflecting an ongoing effort towards modernization and inclusivity in recruitment procedures.
