In a significant breakthrough, Delhi Police's Crime Branch apprehended three members of a notorious gang involved in a bold daylight robbery, seizing Rs 14 lakh from a pan masala dealer's godown in Anand Vihar.
The police recovered two country-made pistols, a Beretta pistol, 17 live cartridges, and the car used in the crime. Those arrested include Deepak Sharma, Momin, and Amir Suhail, all hailing from Uttar Pradesh, while efforts continue to capture their leader, Rashid.
CCTV footage helped piece together the events of August 31, revealing five men used a car with a fake number plate to carry out the heist. The gang had plans for further dacoities, including one in Aligarh, before the Delhi Police intervention.
