The death toll from the grave road accident in Indore, where a truck barreled into pedestrians, has risen to three as another victim succumbed to injuries on Tuesday, as per police reports.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav disclosed a compensation strategy of Rs 4 lakh for the bereaved families and initiated disciplinary actions against nine police officials, including a deputy commissioner.
The truck, driven by a man allegedly intoxicated, went out of control on Aerodrome Road Monday night, running over pedestrians and igniting a fire, causing immediate fatalities and injuries.
