Tragedy in Samer Village: Man Dies Amid Police Pursuit

A 52-year-old man tragically died during a police raid on Monday night in Samer village. His family alleges that police chased him, leading to his collapse, as reported by sources on Tuesday.

The incident unfolded when police, within the jurisdiction of the Binawar police station, arrived in two vehicles. Shakir Ali, who was sleeping outdoors, reportedly ran in fear towards nearby fields, collapsing and was found dead the following morning, according to his brother, Rawat Ali. The family claims the police were targeting another individual's residence but harassed and assaulted villagers, causing unnecessary panic.

Circle Officer Rajneesh Upadhyay stated that the police were investigating suspected cow slaughter and had raided the home of Zeeshan, with no direct link to Shakir Ali. Police acknowledged the family's statement regarding Shakir's heart condition, with the exact cause of death pending post-mortem results. Senior Superintendent Brijesh Kumar Singh confirmed that further action hinges on the findings of medical experts.
