Tensions Surge as Israel Strikes Houthi Site in Hodeidah
Israel launched an attack on a military site controlled by Yemen's Houthi movement at Hodeidah's Red Sea port. The Houthis, who have attacked vessels in solidarity with Palestinians, had 12 strikes targeted at the docks. The incident further exacerbates the ongoing regional tensions.

In a significant escalation, Israel has targeted a military site in Yemen's Hodeidah port linked to the Houthi movement. The strike on Tuesday forms part of Israel's ongoing operations against the group, which is reportedly aligned with Iran and has been increasingly aggressive in the Red Sea.
The attack came just hours after Israel demanded an evacuation of the strategic port. According to Al Masirah TV, associated with the Houthis, the strikes hit 12 targets on the port's docks. The operation follows several hostile exchanges between the Houthis and Israel, including a major attack in August.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz issued a strong warning to the Houthis via social media, asserting that the group would face severe consequences for any future actions against Israel. Meanwhile, Yahya Saree, a Houthi spokesperson, claimed their air defenses had thwarted some of Israel's efforts. However, Israel remains assertive in its military measures, aiming at limiting the Houthis' access to Iranian-supplied weapons.
