On Tuesday, Rathan U Kelkar, the Chief Electoral Officer of Kerala, initiated a significant campaign in Palakkad district to gear up for the forthcoming Special Intensive Revision of the electoral rolls.
During his visit to tribal hamlets in the Attappady region, including Aanavai and Chindakki, Kelkar engaged with local residents, checked documentation, and assured them of the accuracy of their records. He highlighted the critical role of voting in democracy and participated in a meeting with a local women's group, emphasizing the need for widespread voter awareness.
Under the ''CEO @ Unnathi – Get Ready for SIR'' program, Kelkar interacted with students at IHRD College in Agali and Rajiv Gandhi Memorial Arts and Science College in Kottathara, clarifying electoral queries and stressing the responsibility accompanying voting rights. His campaign underscores the Election Commission's commitment to ensuring comprehensive and accurate electoral rolls.
