NIA Cracks Down on ISIS-Linked Terror Network Across Eight States

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) carried out extensive searches across eight states, including Andhra Pradesh, in a significant operation linked to the Vizianagaram ISIS case, officials announced Tuesday.

These raids target a conspiracy involving the use of improvised explosive devices (IEDs) to spread terror. The plan also included radicalization and recruitment of vulnerable youths via social media. Significant documents, digital devices, and cash were confiscated in the process.

The operation comes in the wake of the August arrest of Arif Husain, aka Abu Talib, involved in the alleged conspiracy. The NIA's investigation uncovers a network using social media platforms to indoctrinate young people, highlighting the ongoing threats of domestic terrorism.
