The Border Security Force, in partnership with Manipur Police, successfully seized narcotics valued over Rs 15 crore, including one lakh Yaba tablets, in Tengnoupal district, officials disclosed on Thursday.

During two distinct operations along the Tengnoupal–Imphal Highway (NH-102) on Wednesday, coordinated efforts between BSF personnel and local law enforcement led to the interception of narcotics consignments hidden within vehicles' modified fuel tanks. Significant seizures included one lakh Yaba tablets, a smuggler in custody, and 125 gm of brown sugar valued at Rs 37.5 lakh.

As part of its anti-narcotics initiative, BSF continues to intensify checks, recovering drugs worth Rs 169.9 crore in the past month under the Eastern Command.
