The Government Railway Police (GRP) successfully rescued a two-year-old boy who had allegedly been kidnapped from a Mumbai hospital. Officials reported the recovery occurred on the Tutari Express train, following a timely alert from a Mumbai control room.

GRP officers swiftly acted upon the warning and intercepted a suspicious individual attempting to flee with the child in the S2 coach of the train, which operates between Dadar in Mumbai and Sawantwadi. The interception took place at Thane railway station.

The suspect, identified as Amol Anant Udalkar, a 42-year-old from Indil, was taken into custody. Further investigations revealed a kidnapping had been filed at Bhoiwada Police Station. The boy, after a medical examination, was entrusted to a charitable trust for safety and rehabilitation. The suspect has been turned over to Bhoiwada police for detailed investigation.
