In a tragic turn of events, seven members of a family, including a teenage girl, lost their lives following a road accident in Nellore district. A sand-laden truck collided with their car, leaving no survivors on the spot upon impact.
The accident took place on a national highway near Sangam mandal, where the truck veered from the opposite direction to hit the family car. The severity of the collision resulted in instantaneous deaths, creating a devastating moment for the community.
Responding to the calamity, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu announced an ex gratia of Rs 5 lakh each for the deceased families, totaling Rs 35 lakh. Naidu instructed officials to expedite the compensation disbursement to aid the grieving families in their time of need.
