A Delhi district court on Thursday overturned a previous order preventing four journalists from publishing or circulating purportedly defamatory content against Adani Enterprises Limited. Judge Ashish Aggarwal upheld the journalists' appeal against a civil judge's earlier ruling.

The civil judge's order had directed ten defendants, including the journalists, to remove disputed content from various platforms. The district court observed that the defendants were not given a fair chance to present their case, as required by the Civil Procedure Code.

Consequently, the district court remanded the case for reevaluation with input from both parties. Meanwhile, a separate appeal by journalist Paranjoy Guha Thakurta seeking similar relief is pending.
