India Responds to Pakistan-Saudi Strategic Defence Pact

India has vowed to take necessary measures to safeguard its national security, following a strategic defence pact signed between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. The agreement dictates that an attack on one is considered an attack on both countries, sparking India's cautious stance.
In response to this development, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal confirmed India's plans to evaluate the agreement's impact on its national interests, as well as on broader regional and global stability.
Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Abdulaziz Al Saud formalized the pact, marking a significant milestone in their long-standing defence relationship, amidst heightened tensions in West Asia alongside increased military cooperation between India and Saudi Arabia.
