In a significant move, the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Sabalgarh, Arvind Mahour, has been suspended in Madhya Pradesh's Morena district. The decision came in the wake of allegations regarding his inappropriate behavior towards a woman and the mishandling of patwari transfers.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav took a strong stance, proclaiming zero tolerance for misconduct in public service. Consequently, the SDM has been removed from his position, with the Chambal Commissioner ordered to pursue disciplinary measures.
The episode unfolded when the woman's family presented evidence of Mahour's alleged year-long harassment at a public hearing. With further proceedings already in gear, Megha Tiwari has taken over as the new SDM.
