Tragic Discovery: Young Woman Found Dead in Delhi Flat

A 24-year-old woman was discovered dead in her rented accommodation in Kalkaji, located in the southeastern part of Delhi. The local police suspect it to be a case of suicide, an official reported on Friday.

The police received a PCR call at approximately 7.30 am on Thursday concerning a body found in a DDA Janta flat in Kalkaji. She was identified as belonging to Hardoi in Uttar Pradesh and worked in the accounts branch of a private company in Noida. It was revealed that she had been living by herself in the rented flat since the start of September," stated Hemant Tiwari, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southeast).

Her employer, Dharam Singh, who had been unsuccessfully attempting to contact her since the previous night, eventually visited her apartment along with the landlord. It was then he found her hanging from a ceiling fan with a scarf. The police confirmed no suicide note was recovered from the scene, although the crime team has collected evidence. Inquest proceedings under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) have been initiated by the police.
