A local MP-MLA court recorded two witnesses' statements in a defamation suit against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday. The allegations center around his claims about three youths acquitted in the 2020 Hathras incident.
The court scheduled the next evidence submission on October 27, according to a lawyer for the acquitted youths. Witnesses Dhruv Sisodia and Jagbir appeared for complainant Luv Kush.
Advocate Munna Singh Pundhir stated that cases filed by Ravi, Ram Kumar, and Luv Kush allege Gandhi's remarks at Bulgadhi village defamed the acquitted men. Despite a legal notice, no response prompted the complaint against Gandhi.
