Maharashtra's Ladki Bahin Scheme: A Return to Aid After Rigorous Verification

In a significant development for the Maharashtra government's Ladki Bahin scheme, the benefits of 26 lakh suspected ineligible recipients will resume following a thorough verification process.

Initial concerns arose when numerous accounts were flagged as suspicious, leading to halted payments as authorities sought to uncover any instances of misuse. However, a detailed scrutiny revealed that merely three lakh of these accounts were indeed bogus.
