Tragic End in Mumbai: Priest Accused of Misconduct Dies by Suicide

A tragic incident unfolded in a Mumbai suburb where a 52-year-old priest died by suicide inside a temple, following accusations of misconduct. The priest allegedly asked a 19-year-old woman for sexual favors.
Reports reveal that the woman and her father approached the Kandivali police station at around 2 am, detailing how the priest contacted her late at night with the request. The case gained urgency as authorities began searching for the priest but could not make contact.
Hours later, police discovered the lifeless body of the priest hanging from a ceiling fan in the Kandivali area's temple. No suicide note was recovered. An accidental death report (ADR) has been filed as police continue their investigation into this grave matter.
