BJP Tamil Nadu Chief Nainar Nagenthran has openly criticized the ruling DMK government, citing an increase in crime rates as highlighted in the latest National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) report.
Nagenthran pointed out that crimes against children have risen by 15% since 2021, under the DMK's rule, which he described as offering 'fake social justice'. Additionally, crimes against Scheduled Castes have surged by 39% from two years ago, raising questions about governance.
The report revealed that cybercrimes have escalated by 283% over three years. Despite a slight decrease in crimes against women and murder cases, the overall crime rate remains concerning, with Tamil Nadu's rate close to India's average.
