South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has denounced the interception of the Global Sumud Flotilla by Israel, describing it as a "grave offence" against international efforts to alleviate suffering in Gaza.
According to a statement released on Thursday, Ramaphosa emphasized the importance of global solidarity and sentiment aimed at providing relief in the conflict-ridden region.
He called upon Israel to expedite the release of the detained individuals, including South Africans and Nkosi Zwelivelile Mandela, the grandson of famed liberation icon Nelson Mandela.
