A Central Secretariat Service official has alleged that intense workplace harassment led to his suicide attempt, police reported on Thursday.

Deepak Khoda, 33, stationed at the Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, claimed senior colleagues repeatedly humiliated him, fostering a depressive state, ultimately prompting his extreme act.

The Central Secretariat Service Forum is urging government intervention after the incident, which Khoda's initial police report attributed to a monkey attack. The incident is under investigation for workplace abuse allegations.
