In a significant development, India's Civil Aviation Ministry confirmed that direct flights between India and China will resume by October 2025, in line with the winter schedule. This renewed connection follows extensive technical dialogues between the civil aviation authorities of both nations.

The ministry emphasized that this move, announced on the social media platform X, will greatly boost air connectivity, strengthen people-to-people ties, and bolster economic collaboration between the two countries. These developments are a part of broader strategic efforts to normalize and deepen bilateral relations.

Earlier statements from the Ministry of External Affairs highlighted that India and China have reached an agreement to restart direct air services later this month. The decision stems from ongoing government discussions aimed at gradually normalizing diplomatic relations. Foreign Minister Wang Yi's pivotal visit to India in August laid the groundwork for these advances, aligning with Prime Minister Modi's vision for stable, predictable, and cooperative ties between the two Asian giants.
