In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, the Anti-Gangster Task Force of the Rajasthan Police, along with the Jhunjhunu District Special Team, confiscated around 1,000 kg of ganja with an estimated value of Rs 5 crore. The police also apprehended two key traffickers during the operation.
Codenamed 'Prahar,' the operation was initiated following specific intelligence inputs about a ganja consignment. The contraband, originating from Odisha, was en route to the Shekhawati region of Rajasthan, officials revealed. The traffickers used a cleverly concealed chamber within a container truck to hide the illegal cargo.
Authorities, acting on the tip-off, set up a blockade in Udaipurwati area and successfully intercepted the vehicle. The Shekhawati-based drug leaders targeted by this operation include notorious figures like Raju Pachlengi and Gokul. Top officials lauded the operation as a strategic attack on organized drug syndicates.
