In a continued effort to combat narcotics trafficking, police in Kashmir have arrested five alleged drug peddlers and confiscated a large quantity of illegal substances. The operation, spanning across Anantnag, Kupwara, Budgam, and Pulwama districts, underscores the region's commitment to tackling drug-related crimes.

Authorities reported a significant seizure in Anantnag, where 24,700 kg of ganja was discovered at the residence of Ghulam Nabi Bhat. In Kupwara, Tariq Sajad Khan was apprehended with a substantial amount of charas-like substance.

Further operations in Budgam and Awantipora resulted in the arrest of suspects and the recovery of additional narcotics, including heroin-like substances and bung powder. These coordinated efforts form part of a broader strategy to dismantle drug networks in the area.
