Massive Contraband Destruction: Rs 147 Crore Worth of Drugs Eliminated
A joint operation between Thane, Palghar, and Mira Bhayander Vasai Virar police resulted in the destruction of contraband worth Rs 147 crore, including heroin, cocaine, mephedrone, and codeine-based cough syrup. Over 1,056 kilograms of drugs and 26,935 liters of syrup were incinerated with regulatory approval.

A major anti-drug operation led by police units from Thane, Palghar, and Mira Bhayander Vasai Virar successfully destroyed contraband worth Rs 147 crore.
The operation included incinerating 1,056 kilograms of drugs and 26,935 liters of codeine-based cough syrup, according to officials on Friday.
The destruction took place at Mumbai Waste Management Company with regulatory oversight, involving 240 kilograms of drugs by MBVV police and 204 kilograms of ganja by Palghar police.
