A family feud in Odisha's Jajpur district escalated into tragedy when Kanhei Behera allegedly killed his brother-in-law, Mithun Behera, police reports stated on Sunday.
According to law enforcement, the incident unfolded after a disagreement between Kanhei and Mithun over a trivial domestic issue, which led to Mithun slapping Kanhei.
Subsequently, Kanhei sought revenge by luring Mithun away and fatally attacking him with a sharp weapon. Police have recovered the weapon and are actively searching for the suspect.
